Overview

Back in the 1930s, the little rack railway took wealthy winter sports enthusiasts to Wengen, and the resort has retained its elegant atmosphere, grand hotels and jingling sleighs ever since. This accommodation was built here in 1976, just outside the charming village, which lies in the heart of the largest massif in the Alps. It's the perfect base for exploring the surrounding mountains, such as the Jungfrau, while your children enjoy themselves at Mini Club. After a day in the open air, settle down and relax in the cosy lounges of the former Art Deco palace.

We cater for everyone's taste: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bar and Snacks are available all day long. Enjoy a wide selection of branded drinks and sweet and savoury snacks throughout your stay. You can also order champagnes, VSOP or XO spirits and wines. Drinks ordered from this wine list are not included in your package.

Restaurants

The main restaurant - This restaurant invites young and old alike to enjoy varied buffets featuring international cuisine in palatial surroundings. Our team also prepares a daily selection of lighter dishes. A Baby Corner is provided for parents to prepare meals for their little ones. This restaurant is non-smoking.  Opening times: Mornings: from 7 to 10.30 am Lunchtime: from 12.30 to 2 pm Evenings: from 7.30 to 9 pm

Le Refuge - This speciality restaurant offers dishes such as fondues of different local cheeses and pierrade. Located on level -1 of the hotel, this restaurant offers an intimate setting for your evening meals. Reservation only at Reception. Waiter service. This is a non-smoking area. 

The high-altitude restaurant -  This high-altitude restaurant is the perfect way to enjoy your days skiing to the maximum. Stock up on vitamins before hitting the pistes. Non-smoking restaurant. Open twice weekly only. Access according to your skiing ability.

Bars

Main bar - At the centre of the hotel, close to reception, this friendly and relaxing bar is open all day. A snacking service is available all day. Non-smoking area. Every day, on your return from the slopes, enjoy a selection of sweet or savoury treats prepared by our team. Open from 10 am to 1 am

Nightclub bar - Open from 11 pm, this bar is the place to be for a night of music and fast rhythms... This is a non-smoking area. Open evenings from 11 pm to 3 am.

Optional Extra - Trip to the summit of the Jungfrau and lunch at the summit.

Take advantage of the babysitting service, to savour some moments of pure freedom. (optional extra)

Ski Hire - You will find a rental store at the heart of the accommodation with equipment to suit all levels of experience.  You can hire it or we can look after your own equipment.

Rooms

Relish the old-style luxury of the 30s hotel or the functional comfort of the Edelweiss, the wing which was added in the 70s. The 207 rooms offer facilities and services essential for your well-being.

Club Room

A functional Club room offering a simple, honest level of comfort. Edelweiss Club Rooms are situated in the annex, linked by a covered corridor to the main building. Additional options include a comfortable and elegant "Palace" Club room. These are situated in the main hotel, and are available with valley views. European electrical plugs / 220 Volts, flat-screen television, hair-dryer, security safe(s), shower room, telephone.

Travel arrangements

All prices based on London Heathrow flights to Zurich, Manchester available at a supplement. Resort transfers included. Trains and self drive option available.
